Fraud Proofing your Nonprofit Organization

No Reviews - Be the first

Length: 2 hours 32 minutes

During periods of economic downturn, individuals and businesses alike feel the pinch of financial stress. Crime and particularly white-collar crime increases. People teetering on the edge of honesty may fall over the edge and rationalize taking advantage of others. Individuals and businesses need to be prepared; no one is immune. Prepare yourself with good financial controls and encourage a healthy workplace attitude that questions business transactions and processes. With all the challenges nonprofit organizations face today, the last thing you need is a public/donor relations campaign to deal with a fraud issue. Avoid a situation that could literally sink your organization.

In this course, you will:

  1. Understand the fraud triangle and how and why fraud is committed.
  2. Learn how to implement good financial controls and procedures.
  3. Discover how to promote a healthy questioning attitude in the workplace.
